This policy explains what personal data NearHands collects, why, and what your rights are under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

We do not currently collect Aadhaar numbers, payment details, or any government ID. If ID verification is introduced in the future, this policy will be updated first and your explicit consent will be requested separately before any such data is collected.
By submitting the registration form, you explicitly consent to your name, phone number, locality, and rate being displayed publicly on the NearHands directory, for the purpose of being found and contacted by customers.
Listing data is stored using Supabase (a database hosting provider), hosted in the Mumbai, India region, and served via Netlify. Reasonable technical safeguards (access controls, encrypted connections) are used, but no online system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

We do not sell your data to third parties. Your listing information is public by design (that's the purpose of the directory) but is not shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Your listing remains active until you request removal or we identify it as fraudulent/inactive. Ratings tied to your listing are retained as long as the listing is active, to preserve an accurate trust record.
NearHands is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
This policy may be updated as features change (e.g. if OTP or ID verification is added). Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
